Where is the "alerts" clearing out at random problem ? This is being complained about heavily on the Ridgeline Forum.

Hey @stevem5215
Welcome to the group. I'm actually not familiar with the alerts clearing out.
@AG Jeff do we have a bug filed for that?
Is it possible that its due to it not being checked for > 30 days?
Or maybe its getting cleared on Tuesday's when we perform software releases?
Has anyone else seen this on their communities?

Some updates here:

- We are expecting Premium Membership to be completed before the Holiday break. Due to the sensitivity with payments, we want to take some extra time to do testing and QA, and expect it to go live on the communities on January 7th.

- Mod/AdminCP phase 1 is completed, and we expect to finish phase 2 & 3 before the break. Labs access should be happening this week, with Communities very soon after.

- Push Notifications should be ready to go before the Holiday break as well.

- Regarding Advanced Search, we are looking at having a mobbing session this week on that. We are hoping to also get this done before the holidays.

We are excited as these are 4 projects we really wanted to get done based on your feedback and that of the communities. Unfortunately, due to the sizeable effort required, we have backlogged Infinite Scroll on threadlist & WhatsNew for now. We'll re-consider in the future.

Re: Premium memberships.

One thing I remember running into with a previous vB to XF site is recurring payments didn't continue seamlessly. Members had to manually resubscribe one time after the migration then they became automatic again. Has anyone tested to see if that can be avoided?

Thanks

Yep - one of the many reasons this is taking so long.
Its still not exactly pretty, but it works.

Based on feedback, I'm moving Post Editing capabilities higher up on the Priorities list.
Rob
What parameters are you thinking of? I firmly believe from experience there must be reasonably tight controls in place, or if this is a variable between forums then we can manage to suit each case. I'm still stand by 24 hours for a normal members post and 1 week for a classified, then unlimited for premium members. In the past when admins had full rites, if a normal member of good standing wished to go back over their build thread to clean it up we would grant the lowest moderator access for a week under scrutiny.

Right now, we are going with unlimited editing of posts made within the last 24 hours; and thereafter a maximum of 10 posts per week (they can edit those 10 an unlimited number of times), but building in some ability for communities to customize if they wish.
We're going to try that out and see how it works. We have the ability to restore posts if someone starts abusing it, as its intended as an editing tool, not a post-deletion tool.

I like the idea of flexibility for individual forums, keeping in mind that privildges for premium members look like being quite eroded unless addiional privildges we are not aware of are to be added, editing rites was a big contributor to annual premium membership

Could I get a brief rundown on what today's 'down for maintenance' was about (am 18 Dec in Oz)? Have been asked the question on my forum and I'm in the dark, I didn't think Moderator/Administrator software additions were going out until they were tested here?
