We are excited to announce the addition of the Keyword Alerts feature to the Vendor Subscription product!
The Keyword Alerts feature allows Business users on Supporting and Premium Vendor plans to create a custom list of words and phrases. When these terms are used within the community, the business user will be notified. The Keyword Alerts feature is designed to help businesses quickly identify and respond to content that may need immediate attention.
When this feature will be released?
January 25, 2022 we will release the Keyword Alerts feature to 7 communities.
We will gather feedback before proceeding with the global release.
Where to find the new Keyword Alerts feature?
The "Keyword Alerts" link can be found on the "Your Account" page under "Business" or this URL /account/business-keyword-alerts.
How to set up Keyword Alerts?
- Click “Add Your First Keyword” on the Keyword Alerts page.
- Enter the keyword or phrase to the "Look For" field
- The word or phrase must be between 3 and 150 characters
- The word or phrase must be between 3 and 150 characters
- Select notification type to indicate how the business owner should be notified if the keyword is found in a discussion.
- Website alert - a notification containing a link to a discussion where the keywords were found will be displayed on the Alerts page. A "red dot" indicator will be also displayed if new keyword alerts are available.
- Daily email - a business owner will receive a daily email with discussions where selected keywords were found.
- Both - a business owner will receive both a Website Alert and a Daily email.
- Website alert - a notification containing a link to a discussion where the keywords were found will be displayed on the Alerts page. A "red dot" indicator will be also displayed if new keyword alerts are available.
- Click "Add Keyword Alert" button to save the alert
- Business owners on a Free Business plan can set up one Keyword Alerts but will not receive any notifications when a selected keyword is found in a discussion.
- Business owners on a Supporting Vendor plan can set up a maximum of 3 Keyword Alerts
- Business owners on a Premium Vendor plan can set up a maximum of 5 Keyword Alerts
After at least one Keyword Alert is added the Keyword Alerts page will display a list of discussions where added keywords were found.
The list could be filtered by clicking on the "Filters" menu.
If the business has replied to a discussion there will be the following indicator displayed above the thread title:
How to edit/delete Keyword Alerts?
- To edit the Keyword Alert click the "Edit" link. In the opened dialog make the changes and save them by clicking the "Save Changes" button.
- To delete the Keyword Alert click the "Edit" link. In the opened dialog click the "Delete Keyword" button.
