HaHa, What a coincident, I just got a Spammer now, who drives a 2003 Black Ford Focus and is a Auto Consultant from Gillingham, Kent, United Kingdom, Europe. "Stop Forum Spam" data;

Username: tobygiant
Email Address: M*@y.com
IP Address: 185.244.9.47

Stop Forum Spam

www.stopforumspam.com

So I'm assuming his email Address is; [email protected]

Should I Ban Him?!?

So some who can see emails please tell, if the above email is for Username: tobygiant on the TNX?

You know search by email is functional. If you search for that email address, it will show you if there’s a user with that email. You can also search by partial email.

If you have a suspected email address, but don't have a username for it, then place it in the empty email block of "Search for Users" and click on Search at the bottom of the page. If that members email is on your site, it will pop up with that Usernames Profile.

I still haven't figured out the partial email search yet ?!?

Hey Everyone,

We will be rolling out a release next week to unmask emails. When we have a more specific time, we'll let you know. We will first be rolling it out on Labs early next week and then to all sites mid-week.

Before we make any changes like this, we'll be working with you to further solve the problems that help you with administering the site in advance of any updates.

I'm in the process of building out a list of real world scenarios with actual users as they happen to me.

These will be examples of issues that I regularly resolve but would be impossible under current Labs & live site admincp functionality.

This is in hopes of not only adding to admincp access, but to aid in the design of future automated tools so users can better help themselves.

All with the goal of getting users back to posting immidiately vs. needing to wait long periods of time in a large queue.

@Ross Wittig, you cant tell just from this. Go to the member's public profile. Click on About and see what they have written. If you don't see anything there, check the IP address. Most of the time, if it's India or Pakistan, they are probably going to spam. I click Follow to keep an eye on them. There are folks from other countries that are spammers or crocked. Just rely on your experience.
